Jota just can’t get enough of life at Celtic.
But the Portuguese winger believes he is only at the start of a career that is nowhere near reaching his potential.
It has been a game in heaven since arriving on loan from Benfica this summer and after scoring his seventh goal of the campaign in a Europa League loss to Bayer Leverkusen, Jota insists it is only the start.
He said: âSuccess is something that can happen very quickly, but it can also happen very quickly. So I just have to work a lot and be humble. I am very happy with Celtic.
“In my short career I think being with Celtic is the best time for me. But I don’t want to stop – I still have plenty to do. My head knows what I can do and I not going to stop until I get to what I’m supposed to do.

âThere is a lot more to come from me. Game after game, like knowing more about my teammates and how we’re all together, I think it’s going to get better.
âI think the team is getting stronger and stronger. We work well together in every training session, in every game. I just need to keep doing my thing and learn from everyone.
âI don’t know what Benfica is thinking. But my family and friends are of course happy for me.
âWhat’s done is done and I can’t stop. I need to do more and more.
Celtic’s defeat in Germany relegated them to European Conference League football beyond Christmas, but Jota is adamant the display in the 3-2 loss was proof of progress over the past two months. since the 4-0 loss to Leverkusen in Glasgow.
He said: âI really think it shows that we have improved since then. We are a much stronger team than at the time.
âI believe that month after month we will improve more and more.
âThe most important thing was to get the victory and unfortunately we did not achieve it.
âThe way we tried to get back into the game after losing the first goal shows what we are.
“But the most important thing was the team effort, the ambition and what we tried to do in the game.”
