Warwickshire County Cricket Club have agreed a loan deal with Hampshire for right-arm fast bowler Brad Wheal.
The 25-year-old, who will bolster Mark Robinson’s options with his explosive pace, is available for the LV=Insurance County Championship game against Surrey at the Kia Oval, which starts on Monday.
The Scotland international has won nine County Championship wickets in three matches this season, as well as 22 wickets in Hampshire’s winning Vitality Blast campaign.
In total, Wheal took 104 first-class wickets in 44 matches.
Paul Farbrace, Director of Cricket, said: “To be able to bring a talented pacemaker like Brad into our attack is a real boost for the team ahead of our trip to The Kia Oval.
“Our thanks go to Hampshire for enabling us to bring the deal to fruition.”
